Leather manufacturing also known as “Maroquinerie”, from the word “Maroc” (Morocco in French), takes its roots from this north African country where the work on leather was globally recognized, more specifically from Fez city during the Almohad ruling era. The technics and craftsmanship on leather was than transmitted to Europe by the Moroccans through “Andalusia”.
